LipoDissolve

LipoDissolve is the name of the treatment to induce fat lysis of the face and body without surgery. It is known as a potential replacement to minor surgical lipoplastic procedures and good results can be achieved in only 1-4 sessions. LipoDissolve can be used for various conditions such as localized fat reduction, skin-retraction, gynecomastia, xanthelasma, cellulite and lipomas. Some procedures give truly exceptional results in consideration of the mild and nonsurgical nature of the treatment. Great area suitable for treatment are the abdomen, thighs, flanks/lovehandles, arms, and the face.

Is the procedure permanent like liposuction?

Each person is born with a certain number of fat cells (adipocytes) and after adolescence will not continue to develop. When a person gains weight, the size of the fat cells increase, not the number. LipoDissolve will permanently dissolve fat in the area of treatment, leaving only a thin layer of fat behind. If a person gains weight, the fat cells located in the non-treated areas (including the deep visceral fat layer) will naturally get larger.

How does the procedure work?

A series of micro-injections made up of several chemical compounds, including phosphatidylcholine, will be administered to the specific treatment area. The fat cells absorb the chemicals and become slightly inflamed, then harden. The hardened fat cells break down and are absorbed back into the body to be passed out through the kidneys. After a few weeks, there will be measurable inch loss. At this point, the fat cell no longer exists and has been permanently removed from the body. With several treatments, the end result is a smooth, natural look in the area that is treated.

Is it painful?

There is some mild, localized pain and discomfort after the treatment, the patient may also feel some mild burning immediately following the treatment. Swelling will occur in the treated area, and soreness and inflammation may be experienced for several days after the treatment. In some cases, possible localized bruising may occur.

What are the limitations with LipoDissolve?

LipoDissolve is suitable for small to medium fat deposits on patients preferrably having soft or "liquidy" fat bulges. LipoDissolve has limited to unsatisfactory cosmetic results on large volumes of fat on obese body types, or on fat mixed with binding tissue. This treatment cannont replace extensive surgical procedures. LipoDissolve cannot be used as a weight loss therapy. LipoDissolve may need additional care or show poor results on candidates with metabolic or thyroid disorders, or on candidates with genetic fat deposits. As with any cosmetic procedure, whether surgical or nonsurgical, a proper pre-evaluation is essential when selecting the right candidate for treatment. LipoDissolve does not provide instant results and is not suitable for all patients.
