About Zerona
Unlike traditional liposuction, ZERONA is applied externally. This new method provides results without the dangers and complications of surgery, while at the same time allowing patients to remain active during their treatment.
Utilizing the ZERONA protocol allows for the emulsification of fatty tissue, which releases into the extracellular space. The excess fat is then passed through the body during its normal course of detoxification. At Realis Medical Spa we also provide the body with additional support in this cleansing process.
The ZERONA procedure was proven through a double-blind, randomized, multi-site and placebo controlled study. Patients lost an average of 3-9 inches from around their waist, hips and thighs.
ZERONA Protocol
ZERONA patients are treated 6 times over a two week time period. Each treatment takes 40 minutes during which time the patient relaxes comfortably.
The entire procedure is very comfortable. It is non-invasive and involves no downtime or recovery periods. In fact, after the procedure it is recommended that the patient participates in some type of cardiovascular activity to aid in the detoxification process.

There are 2 types of fat- visceral and subcutaneous.
